Compression

The piano sounds way over compressed. For some reason people around here have a lot of that. Use an eq and uncompress it you did. It sounds like the FL Keys or Md(?) piano plug in which has a compressed sound. I liked the melody after about the 1 minute mark. You hit it good at that mark. Keep it up. There's a lot of dissonance in the main part of the piano melody, and it takes me away out of the track when I hear it. Unless that's what you wanted, I'd change the chords or some keys in the chords or lower the sound level on the bottom end octave notes to mess it better. You might want to throw some more reverb and chorus in there and use stereo seperation. It would sound kick ass.

alright. thanx man. the piano melodies i used from 0:00 to about 0:59 was pretty crap. tahnx for the feedback.

Ouchy!

Dude my ears hurt. You have to work on the levels. The hats are way too high. Unless you are deaf... Your style seems like your new to this so just work on it some more. Keep creating.

sorry bout that my computer bass is on max... treble can change it. and im only really new to the less trancy sort of stuff.

Cool but...

I don't usually listen to D'n'B but I liked this. You layered the strings really good, a lot better than many others on here. It was very orchestral. Maybe you did it on purpose but aren't the drums in DNB supposed to be a lot louder? I figure you did it for the mix. I really don't listen to DNB very much. I liked your use of phasing on the drums. good levels on the mix overall. Don't think it's strange. Keep it up.

Thanks Beno3000, your comment is much appreciated.

Yea I didn't want the drums to drown out the strings, as I'm an avid fan of strings :)
I'll bear that in mind if I do any DnB stuff (which I'm sure i will!)

Thanks again dude.

Cool...

I don't like telling anyone how to make a song/beat but this would sound kick ass if you panned more, especially the toms. My ears wanted the drums to be all around me. Everything sounds close together like it's a set of drums mic'ed from 30 ft. away. The kicks are cool cuz they are usually at a balanced pan. Separate the snares and hats by panning and play around with using chorus and stereo separation for a kick ass effect. If you use FL Studio see if you like the Flangus effect. If you sent everything to one channel or the Master separate them and add effects individually as you like and then send them all back to one channel or a SEND FX channel and add a little compression if you like.

Hey thanks, I'll take all that into consideration. Thanks for the review!

I'm a jerk and an asshole. My relationships with women are purely physical, but I love them for it. You probably would like me, but I don't care. Can you cook? I also like long walks off of short piers, laughing at photos of ugly babies, and making music.
