[Embracing Oblivion]

The Worst Song EVER

Just kidding. Good use of reverb on the drums. It was at the right volume. Did you layer a kick? If not you must have eq'd/filtered it. The layered strings were good and you did a great job at combining them. Slow engaging intro. The build up is nice and not too slow. The only thing I don't like is the end. Like someone else said it seems to end suddenly.

This would be good in a movie, or as a soundtrack to a movie. Hopefully someone will use it.

It's really loud, but I can't hear your drums especially the kick. It's barely there. Your pads or whatever that synth is over powers the drum mix. You might want to turn them down a little. I would compress the drums and/or turn the kick up alot more. Did you compress the whole track? It sounds like you did. If you did turn down the dB's and turn the kick up more. Not bad for a techno song, kind of catchy. A lot of energy. Gj on capturing that. As for adding, pick another instrument and start a something for a bridge, it's up to you. Do what you feel. Good start.

Ragtime Burp...wow I thought I heard it all...

It's sounded something like a mix of Scott Joplin, Benny Hill, and Mardi Gras mixed together. Kudos to the burp at the end. I was actually thinking: "I would end this with a loud fart at the end", then the burp came like 5 seconds later. Clearly you have artistic vision but you'll have to do better to beat me in debauchery. Or get more samples...

Thanks, man, I appreciate the comment. The VST I referred to is actually an instrument not an effect. For guitar effects, I'm pretty much married to the Guitar Suite package and Kjaerhus Audio free effects. Thanks for the recommendation.

Lol...

You have industrial, punk, dnb, wow a lot. Is that string vocoded or did you lower the resolution? You gotta turn that down alittle. It overpowers your piano.

Hmm....i was thinking that i bit too strong. The sad thing is that I already turned it down a little. Maybe just a little more then. Yeah, like I said, I don't know how to classify it. Glad you seemed to like it. It's not vocoded, I just picked something from this list and added an effect and that's the sound that came out. I don't really like preset stuff but sometimes it can be a good start.

Dark...

Very airy, reminds me of a movie sound track. You are one dark bastard. That synth violin is super nice is that Korg? Good job. Is that sound that bounces around in the track phased or panned?

Thank you. No it's not Korg, it was some generic violin synth, but it worked well in short rounds. Now that you asked I can't rememer if I panned that sound or just enhanced the stereo. The mixer settings were from the older Walking in Shadows track.
